I hear people say that genuine psychics don’t have to rely on Tarot, that they should be able to intuit what’s happening without any tools or visual aids, and so on…and I totally disagree with this perspective. Tarot is not some second class psychic tool. It has a lineage that anyone would be proud to belong to, a lineage that goes back to the beginning of time when women and men looked for the omens to guide their way. Tarot is a psychic art, one of the great arts of the subconscious, an art that deserves a place in anyone’s life as a tool for discovering and uncovering the truth. Why am I promoting Tarot? Why do I think that anyone who is searching for truth will benefit from learning Tarot? Simple. Because it never fails to give me the insight and guidance that is most helpful for where I am at or where my client is at. Tarot is very sensitive not only to the situation being explored but to the people involved in the situation. It’s the responsibility of the person handling the cards to know what level of insight they are looking for. If you, as a reader, have the highest good of all in your heart when you read the cards, the Tarot will answer your questions at whatever level is appropriate for the other person and what they are able to cope with at the time. Whether you are the reader or the person having the reading the cards are sensitive to both parties. Practising your intention is what makes a great difference A reader who is more interested in showing off their own psychic prowess will strip away that sensitivity and replace it with their own personal counselling medium. Tarot doesn’t work that way. It requires practice in being able to relax into what the cards are saying and then using your personal communication skills to interpret that message in a caring and empathetic manner. I have developed a simple relax down method that I practice before each reading, and this takes me into the shared consciousness where my ego steps aside and the shared experience is what matters. That’s when real knowledge comes forth. That’s what Tarot does. Yes, I know that there are people out there who are reading Tarot meanings from a script and calling it a reading. It’s a reading of words in that case with no meaning. That’s an insult to genuine psychics. Besides, I could teach those people to read Tarot in a few easy steps and all they have to do is, yes, you guessed it, practice! Genuine psychics know the value of Tarot. What I know is that if you let the cards talk, they will! They can’t wait until someone gets their hands on them to do the Psychic Shuffle! So when you do or have your next reading, open your mind and let the cards in! |
