It’s a Chick Thing…by Gaye Wright
My breast cancer journey began twenty four years ago and I’ve recently decided to come out of my shell and tell my story…
It’s coming out now because I’m donating 10% of my earnings in January to Breast Cancer Awareness. And it’s my time to help.
My story isn’t much different to most women, (and some men if you didn’t know), who have gone through the breast cancer challenge. Perhaps the difference for me is that my journey has been over twenty four years and through three breast cancer operations. So I’m what people in breast cancer world call a survivor. I don’t particularly like that title because it has a bit of a negative ring to me, but that’s just my take on it. I prefer to call myself a woman with a destiny.
Coming out…you might recognise this one…
One of the reasons I decided to “come out” now is because I am no longer fearful about talking about cancer. Not that I have been full of fear all the time. It’s just my time now. It’s surprising how many of us don’t want to talk about things until we are ready. You might have been like that too. Or, you could still feel awkward or funny about it. I understand. Whether it’s denial or suppression, or even feeling you have a bit of a stigma attached to you for having the big C, it has to come out at the right time for you. I think it very well could be the same for anyone with an illness or condition that doesn’t have a cure readily available. After my first operation, some people didn’t want to sit on the couch next to me! Such is ignorance.
Is there a breast cancer persona?
I was pretty ignorant myself of many things way back then, like the relationship between my body and my feelings and how my emotions drive me to think, feel, and act according to my beliefs. Or, how the energy of disempowerment is a big factor is why many women get breast cancer in the first place. Seeing me today you would never have guessed how different I was back then. On the surface I was a successful, intelligent, mother of five and a hard-working woman, with a bubbly personality to match. I had to go through breast cancer to realise how much disempowerment I was actually hiding under my very amenable persona that I identified with for so long. Without going into where it began, a saga in itself, what I do know is that there was a lot of power in me that I had to discover and my journey began when I discovered my first lump and there was only me to deal with it. All the company in the world doesn’t take away that horrible feeling of being alone and isolated with your lump!
From disempowered to empowered…
However, my lump turned out to be the turning point and from there on my life has gone in a very different direction. I’m still bubbly. I’m still amenable. But, I am no longer disempowered! No longer the victim. Forever the Magician! Well, that’s not too far off considering what I do, is it? Number one in the Tarot, number one in real life. Of course, there’s the Fool who takes that first leap into the world of personal power and magic. I discovered I could be the most powerful Fool in the world. So can you. It’s my birthright to be powerful. And it’s yours. And somewhere along the way, there is always someone who reminds us of that which we have forgotten. In this wonderful friendly universe of ours, there is always a friend who is waiting to hear the call.
The universe is indeed friendly…
Probably my fear and lack of close emotional support drove me to seek answers from others and other sources. That’s what being in a universe of oneness is all about, isn’t it? I started with my training wheels of consciousness in a Centre for Relaxation in Brisbane, where I learnt the basics of how to handle my anxiety and increase my white cell count by encouraging the Knights on White Chargers to seek and destroy the invaders! Sounds like something out of Star Wars! But it was a start and that’s what counted. As long as you start is the main thing. Then the energy of initiative takes over and off you go.
Now is a good time to start…
Some people start even before they have their operation or treatment. One client told me about how she asked her surgeons to be aware of what they were saying about her while she was on the operating table. She didn’t want any negative energies floating around whilst she was in their hands. I thought that was such a great thing to say and so I asked if I could pass on that to you. Things like that help us all to be more conscious of the energies we want in our lives.
Join me please…
If my story has inspired you to help my appeal then please call and make a booking with me in January. Every bit helps. Brisbane ( where I live at this point in time) is hosting the International Breast Cancer Conference in May 2009 and I’d like to do as much as I can to help and support this to be the best one yet.
Thank you for your time and support over the years and I appreciate the shared work we are doing together to uplift the psychic arts and restore the power of intuition to its rightful place in our lives.

How to have a genuinely empowering mediumship reading... |

Mediumship readings illustrate just how close we all are even
though we might be on different planes of existence. Psychics have the
privilege of opening up the channels of communication between these
different levels of being and as a psychic of many years and many
readings, I have great respect for what I do. And it is from this
perspective that I am advising prospective clients how to prepare for a
reading in which you want your psychic to connect with a loved one who
has passed.

Why
is it empowering to develop your intuition? Your intuition is the means
by which you receive information from that wise, infinite part of you
that knows. As such, your intuition can assist you in making decisions,
setting goals for yourself, and aligning with your life purpose.
